EARTHQUAKE

Martin, who's a consultant at the Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham, first visited the earthquake zone in Pakistan and Kashmir to set up a makeshift hospital and work on a shelter programme. The fear was that the harsh winter would claim as many lives as the earthquake.
