OBSESSIONS AND DEPRESSIONS
By Tessa Frith
It wasn't until Tessa returned home from college in her twenties that she realised not everyone struggled with depression and obsessive thoughts. She was diagnosed with bi-polar and obsessive compulsive disorder, as well as general anxiety. Initially the drugs she was prescribed didn't help, but ten years on she's finally been given some that reduce the severity of her symptoms. Although it’s a daily struggle to keep positive, with the help of a good psychiatrist, a guitar and two pet rats, Tessa is now making something of her life.
