A COUNTRY LIVING
By Simon Smith
Invest in a country pub, pull a few pints and watch your investment grow. It all seemed so simple four years ago when Simon gave up computer sales and bought the Lion Inn at Woonton near Leominster. But despite a band of loyal regulars, and a list of special events as long as your arm, Simon and his wife simply aren't drawing in enough customers to make ends meet. So Simon takes on a second job to pay the bills and keep the business afloat, and works a fourteen hour day to beat the credit crunch.
