VIGIL FOR PEACE
By Evelyn Bitcon
Evelyn got involved through her son, who was in the Army in Northern Ireland. It has lead her to discover how many traumatised servicemen there are in this country. You'd think that the establishment would take care of its servicemen, but after the First and Second World Wars, and the last Gulf War they weren't. If we can't have the leaders gathered round a table agreeing or agreeing to disagree, it's a sad state of affairs. Saddam Hussein is obviously a tyrant, but how many more are there? The men of this country are our best resources, their children are the future, but we don't seem to realise that.
