Exporting Ulster-Scots culture to Italy

John McIntyre discusses the number of Ulster-Scots speakers in Ulster. Members of ‘Bright Lights’ dance group, Ballydonaghy Pipe band and the ‘Spirit of ‘76’ travel over to Italy, and take part in Italy’s biggest street carnival in Viareggio.

Lord Laird talks about the importance of exporting Ulster-Scots culture and John McIntyre talks about the unifying effect of the carnival for all the Ulster-Scots performing. Both then take to the stage, alongside Vivien Hewitt.
