County Donegal and the Plantation of Ulster
Ulster-Scots Community Network
Ulster’s rich tapestry of cultural diversity largely has its origins in the early 17th century Plantation of Ulster with its influx of mainly Protestant English and Scottish settlers.
This booklet provides a context for the Plantation alongside information on its planning, progress and legacy. The booklet also contains illustrations of extant architecture from the period and information about the various undertakers who made their home here.
