"Hello. My name is Victor. I heard "old sport" many times in the movie The Great Gatsby. I know it's a personal expression for Gatsby to show his character. But what exactly does it mean? Is it just a catchphrase? Thank you."

Victor

In this programme we travel back to the New York of the 1920s to the world of The Great Gatsby.

If you've seen the recent film or read the book by F. Scott Fitzgerald, you'll know the main character, Gatsby, uses the phrase 'old sport' a lot.

But what does it mean, and why does he use it so much?

Find out in the programme.
