Celebrate
with a Spanish style fiesta of theatre, music, poetry and dance before
Newcastle Playhouse and the Gulbenkian close their doors for a major
renovation. |

As
a last hurrah before the their home is re-modelled, northern stage
present a two week festival of music, dance, theatre, art, poetry
and photography celebrating Catalan traditions and culture.

At
the centre of the festival is the first-ever staging of Homage to
Catalonia, completing northern stage ensemble's highly successful
George Orwell trilogy.
Already
selected by the Observer as one of top theatrical events to look
for in 2004, Homage to Catalonia is being tipped as a possible award-winning
piece of international drama.
