What
is it? Aquababies is a pre-bookable course of 12 swimming
lessons which help to give adults the confidence to help baby
learn to swim. The sessions involved lots of singing and rhymes
to help baby relax.
Waterbabies
is a session, open to baby and carer only, to have fun splashing
about in the pool.
There
is no need to wait until baby has had his full set of injections
before going swimming, but some carers prefer to wait.
Aquababies
review by Gina Backhouse, Mum to Jack aged 11 months.
Jack
has always been a water baby, so when we started the Aquababes
class, he was in his element. The instructor has a great technique,
combining fun with learning, always starting and finishing
the session in the same way. The babies are very excited to
get going, and there are always plenty of smiling faces as
we sing songs and splash around together. Jack has become
a very confident and independent swimmer in the last five
months. The changing area at Waterworld has become a little
run down of late, but it is about to receive a face-lift.
Waterworld is a very child friendly place and the staff are
extremely helpful.
Facilities:
Special
area in which to change baby includes play pen, bench for
changing baby into costume and lockable gate to keep toddlers
in. Useful as can take baby's pram into the changing area.
Baby change. Café will warm food and bottles.
