Doodle 4 Google

The ‘My Britain’ competition invited young people aged 4-18 to design a Google Doodle that celebrated Britishness.

The 'Doodle 4 Google - My Britain' competition asks young people across the UK to design a doodle that represents what it means to be British today. The winning doodle, which will be displayed on the Google UK homepage for a day, will be seen by around 18m people.

This is the first nationwide Doodle 4 Google competition and is open to every school in the UK.

One of the finalists in this national competition is 5 year old Stephen from Newcastle. Part of the judging criteria was their supporting statement and Stephen’s was:

“I like Newcastle. I like the Angel of the North. I like the Tyne Bridge. I like England”
