Access: Beamish is a large outdoor site with some uneven surfaces and steep slopes. However, there is free admission for assistants to disabled visitors; free wheelchairs - but please book; there are accessible toilets in most areas and an accessible bus is available on request. Further info: Tynemouth's Blue Reef Aquarium offers visitors an undersea safari through the oceans of the world. The aquarium is home to everything from seahorses and puffer fish to poisonous dart frogs and tropical sharks. There are daily talks and special events plus there is a purpose-built outdoor Seal Cove.
