FACTS

Mark Knopfler wrote the theme tune "Why aye Man" for the third series.

Writers Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais also wrote the Geordie comedy series The Likely Lads. They also wrote the film script for The Commitments.

TV's Masterchef was devised by Auf Wiedersehen director Franc Roddam. He also directed the cult film Quadrophenia.
