What
is the bus for?
The
BBC Bus has arrived on Tyne and Wear! Every weekday the Bus will
be out and about bringing broadcasting and free access to computers
to your doorstep.
So
when you see it, step aboard. It doesn't matter if you've never
used a computer before, we're here to help.
You
can send an email, take digital pictures or pursue your hobbies
and interests over the world wide web.
The
BBC Bus is also about broadcasting on air and online.
You
can take part in a radio show, contribute to one of the many BBC
websites, or just come and meet the team and say hello.
Who's
it for?
You! Everyone's welcome.
Will
it cost me anything?
No, there is no charge for using the computers or anything on the
BBC Bus.
How
can I find out when it's coming?
- Listen to BBC Radio Newcastle's Paul and Ian Show, weekdays
from 10am-1pm
- Look at the timetable
section of this website
- Check local newsletters and bulletin boards
- Check your neighbourhood for posters which we will put up a
week in advance.
- Call the CSV Action Desk at BBC Radio Newcastle during office
hours on 0191 221 2815.
When does it open its doors?
9am to 3pm Monday to Friday.
Can
the bus come to my area?
If you don't think we're due to visit you, then get in touch.
Anything
else?
Why not have a look at our BBC
Bus picture gallery
There
are certain limitations due to the size and weight of the bus, but
where there's demand for us we'll make every effort to meet it.
