Danny Leigh

Danny Leigh

Danny Leigh is a film critic, journalist, novelist and co-host of Film 2011. His first film review was printed in the late, lamented Neon magazine in 1997. In the years that followed he wrote about movies for a range of newspapers and magazines, interviewing a large number of actors and directors (Johnny Depp was the nicest, although he also has soft spots for Lars von Trier and Samantha Morton).

He has written regularly for The Guardian, for which he has produced a weekly online film column since 2007. He has also written two novels. His favourite film is a toss-up between David Lynch's Mulholland Drive and the early 80s cult classic Repo Man, and he still weeps openly at Watership Down.
