Trexx is the DJ of the unit, the man with the musical talent behind the decks. He is a big guy who likes his food and has a heart as wide as his waistline. When the going gets good Trexx reaches for a bargain bucket. He loves his music, and is happy to lose himself in a tune - he's more than happy to let his partner dominate the spotlight when they're in front of a crowd... but does Flipside have to be such a moron?!
Considering Trexx likes to avoid confrontation, it's a shame his manager 'Brilliance' thinks some high profile feuds would be good publicity. Trexx is vulnerable to criticism, and has a tendency to be oversensitive. He's not too much of a man to cry, and when he does it's a horrible sight to behold, verging on hysteria; all tears, and snotty blubbering. Trexx wears his heart on his sleeve. When he feels something, he feels it far too hard. Love goes deep, fear goes deeper and fear of B-ICE, Tiny and (most of all) Chinaza, goes deepest of all.
Basically, Trexx is in this trip to the very top, more for the joy of the music than the girls, money and fame - but he can cope if it ever happens. Ya get me?
Until the glory and the 'Lizzies' come his way, our big guy works part-time as a receptionist at his local gym. His cousin is manager there, who through family pressure, has reluctantly been persuaded to let Trexx work there in spite of the rather unhealthy image he presents upon arrival. He does shifts on reception, which basically involves giving out locker keys whilst reading books and eating bags of crisps.
Of course they don't let him near any of the actual exercise equipment, but he is the first thing you see when you enter this temple of fitness... and he is the biggest thing you see on Trexx and Flipside!
Peter Dalton aka MistaJam: DJ, Actor, Musician
MistaJam aka Pete Dalton is no stranger to music. This Nottingham man first started out spinning vinyl aged 2 on his beloved Fisher-Price record deck. "Back then I didn't know what I was really doing - all I knew is that I loved music" says the jack-of-all-trades.
An actor from 7 years old, Pete appeared in a national television soap drama called 'Crossroads' for ITV. Set in a hotel, he played a character called Minty Sutton who was a chef in the hotel's kitchens but dreamed of being a deejay: "When I first got the job, they asked me if I had any special skills or interests and I told them about my deejaying so they wrote it in the part for me!" He coupled the role on Crossroads with a slot on Nottingham's pirate station Unique FM hosting the weekend breakfast show.
After Crossroads ended, MJ hit the stage in a soul music musical at the prestigious Shaftesbury Theatre in London's West End. MistaJam also presents his own 1Xtra evening show from 7pm weeknights.
