BBC Travel News on BBC Digital Radio
The BBC's national radio stations are available across the UK on the BBC's national DAB digital radio multiplex, and carry traffic and travel bulletins as a key part of their normal daily output.
Local BBC radio output, including the nation stations - BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio Ulster/Foyle and their national language companion stations, are also available in selected areas covered by local and regional commercial DAB digital radio multiplexes.
One of the benefits of digital radio is the ability to carry additional textual information alongside the main radio programme, offering news, sport, weather, track titles and additional information about what's playing. This is used on local radio services to provide the top traffic and travel incidents in your local area.
The BBC also broadcasts an experimental data service, entitled 'BBC Travel', which operates on the BBC national DAB digital radio multiplex.
