Ash Bash Trashed
We thought being a celeb meant nights of fun-packed excess, rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous, and your pick of the best handbag-sized pooches. Not so for poor old Ashlee Simpson.
The perky popster - who is in London starring as Roxie Hart in the musical 'Chicago' - asked party organisers to invite the cream of British celebrities to her 22nd birthday bash. Unfortunately she didn't know who half of her guests were.
According to Female First, while checking out the guests at her party in London's Embassy nightclub, Ashlee was overheard stropping: "Who are these people? I don't even know them. If I'd had my party in Los Angeles I would have had proper celebs there." Ouch!
She even blamed the dismal guest list for friend Ashton Kutcher's failure to turn up. Ashlee was reportedly heard whining: "Ashton probably walked in, took one look at this lot and turned round and left." Care for a glass of flat champagne, anyone?
Mind you, with a guest list that included Bianca Gascoigne and Victoria Hervey, as well as a host of Big Brother 'stars', we don't know what she had to complain about. Doesn't she watch the telly?
