Maybe Baby?
For all of you who had started knitting those baby dance booties - STOP NOW! After reporting yesterday that Madonna was due to adopt an African baby called David, it now seems that there has been a mighty backlash against her controversial decision.
The celebrity couple are in the process of adopting 13-month-old David Banda after meeting him and his father in Lilongwe, Malawi.
Despite receiving the father's blessing, international agencies and aid workers have attacked Madonna and hubby Guy's plans saying that it undermines efforts to keep children within communities.
They also claim that David, whose mother died shortly after giving birth, is bound to feel disorientated after moving from the poor village of Mchinji to a luxurious pad in America or Britain.
Jackie Schoeman, executive director of Cotlands, a South African organisation that cares for children affected by HIV told the Daily Mail: "For us, first prize is to place the kids locally or even regionally. If the only other option is for them to be in long-term institutional care, then we would consider international adoption."
Whatever happens, we just hope David finds a happy home.
