Sweet Medicine
We reckon it's fair to say that the world of telly was rocked last week by the news of Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond's 300mph crash that left him in intensive care. Now it seems like the world of pop is also coming together, Band Aid-style, to support one of its favourite TV motoring enthusiasts - with the Sugababes offering to sing at his bedside.
According to The Sun, the Sugas have offered to perform a private bedside gig for Richard in hospital. Amelle told the tab: "Richard is a cute bloke with a great smile - of course we'd sing for him. I love Top Gear. Richard is a great presenter and Jeremy Clarkson is brilliant too."
Keisha added: "Richard is really popular. It was a shock to hear about his crash. If our singing can do any good, we're happy to perform." Heidi chipped in: "Richard has two young daughters, so maybe they'll convince him that our offer is a good idea. But it's great he's already making a good recovery. He's a brilliant presenter."
Team Pops has also offered to perform a bedside concert for Richard in the hope that it will help him to get well soon, but after hearing our rehearsal last night, he's probably better off sticking with the Sugababes...
Keep updated on Richard's recovery on the Top Gear website
