In This Sin
Remember the days when Jessica Simpson was a good girl who embodied Christian values and talked about how she was saving herself for marriage? The Reverend Bob Harrington does, and he's not at all pleased at the behaviour of modern-day Jessica.
Reverend Harrington - a priest in Texas - has spoken out against Jessica and her sister Ashlee, as well as their father Joe - a former Baptist minister himself - for using sex to sell their music.
In a chat with Australian magazine New Weekly, Rev Harrington argued: "Their father has replaced his faith in the Lord with the love of money, which is the root of all evil. He has replaced holiness with horniness."
Zing! But wait, there's more: "Jessica and Ashlee will reap the dismal crops they are sowing. Their breasts will sag and their faces will wither and they will be left with nothing but a hollow shell. They don't represent American standards and certainly not Christian standards."
Christian standards like love thy neighbour? Judge not lest ye be judged? Well, good job we've got this guy here to uphold Christian values, eh?
