Fur Queen And Country
The chances are slim that there are any Canadian black bears out there wondering exactly which UK indie band are looking out for them the most, but hats off to Razorlight for sticking up for them.
In particular, the 'Light's bassist, Carl Dalemo, who spoke to NME about the practise of making bearskin hats for the Queen's royal guards.
According to NME.com, Carl said: "I'm just asking people to sign the [PETA] bearskins petition to save the beautiful Canadian bears from getting slaughtered to have their fur in the Queen's Guards' hats - a completely pointless exercise."
It's all very well telling the NME that, fella, but Pink actually wrote to the Queen herself to complain about this very same thing. You're going to need to chain yourself to the gates of Buck House to beat THAT...
