D'oh!
We think it's probably fair to say that Ashlee Simpson hasn't got a nose for a news story, but then, let's not be too harsh, she's not had it for very long.
Ashlee has inadvertantly earned the rage from many readers of Marie Claire mag in the US, after she went on a 'love yourself for who you are' mouth-a-thon.
According to MTV Asia, the mag featured Ashlee helping teen girls to make a mural celebrating the female form, which ran alongside Ashlee saying: "Everyone is made differently, and that's what makes us beautiful and unique. I want girls to look in the mirror and feel confident."
Which is all very nice, but coming from someone with a recent nose job? Well..
The stink provoked one reader to write: "You couldn't have picked a worse role model!" while another wrote: "She runs counter to everything I've come to appreciate in your magazine."
Even the mag's editor in chief, Joanna Coles weighed in, saying: "She was quoting chapter and verse about how crucial it is to love yourself as you are, etc. We're dazed and confused - and disappointed - by her choice too!"
At least Ash's spokey Rob Shuter is sticking up for her. He said: "I'm sorry the new editor is using Ashlee to get publicity for her magazine."
Hmm, can we do a 'cutting nose off to spite face' joke here?
