Show Me The Money!
It looks like it's been a busy few days for celebs getting signed up for major endorsements - according to the Sun today, both Kelly Clarkson and Natasha Bedingfield have landed valuable contracts to be the public faces of certain brands.
First up, Nat's going to be the American face of Gap, by which we mean her face will still be British, obviously, but she'll be appearing in the American adverts for the clothing chain. The tab reckons she's set to net over 250,000 quid for appearing on posters and in-store advertising.
A fashionable source claimed: "Natasha has exactly the right look which Gap want for their autumn collection. She is seen as good-looking, clean-living and healthy. And the Americans just love the fact that she's British."
But before you all pack your bags and start hailing a cab to the airport in the hope of flashing your birth certificate stateside and landing a top sponsorship deal, it appears the all-American look is still hot property over there, as Kelly Clarkson is to follow in the footsteps of Alicia Keys and Jessica Simpson by appearing in adverts for acne product Proactive.
Kel, responsible type that she is, agreed to the deal only after testing the product herself. The Sun quotes her saying: "The biggest thing with this job is it's so stressful and the thing with stress is that it produces acne, especially for me. I just break out, like, all on my chin and I already have enough people judging everything I do, I don't want them judging my skin."
Unless they're going to remark on how clean and shiny it is, right Kel?
