The super-skinny rapster has been working on what his book publishers are calling a series of (cough) 'street-lit' novels, the first of which will be out in the autumn and is called Love Don't Live Here No More.

See that 'More'? It doesn't even say 'Mo', which means he must be taking this writing lark seriously.

Kathleen Schmidt, the director of publicity for Atria Books, told the press what attracted them to his writing: "Snoop, by nature of what he does, is a storyteller."

Mind you, it seems that Snoop's motivation for putting pen to paper is the same as ever, meaning THE LADIES...

Kathleen went on: "Books speak more to a female audience than does his music, so these novels give him an opportunity to show - particularly his female fans - another side."

And where Snoop leads, other rapsters will follow. Fiddy, to your crayons...
