The bare bones are these. R&B chanteuse Ciara and junior rap veteran Bow Wow aren't going out together any more, after a year-long relationship. At one point there was some discussion that they may be engaged, cos Ciara was spotted wearing a diamond ring on THAT finger, in public.

Anyway, according to Ciara's, ah, 'peeps', the split happened months ago, and was totally amicable.

So far, so what, right? Well, the gossip version is that they have only just split, and it's all because Bow was spotted, erm, Wow-ing some young lady in LA a week ago.

He even confirmed to Teenhollywood: "Ciara and I have parted ways. I wish her all the best."
