Pink Fluid
We live in exciting times, people. Science is breaking boundaries every day, from the first man on the moon to the DVD player to getting a doctor to make your chest look like you had cannonball porridge for breakfast (morning Jordan!).
And now, to add to the many reasons why scientists should be carried around at shoulder height, comes the news that the very first under-sea concert is to take place next summer (2007).
An enormous dome is being erected a mile under the Pacific ocean, with concert seating and a stage inside. Once all the water has been pumped out, you've got a perfect futuristic concert venue, that you can only get to via a great big mile-long slide down a see-through perspex tube. HOW cool!?
The first act to play in the new dome, which is to be called Pacifica Palace, will be Pink. And the venue are considering colouring the dome red and renaming it Pink-ifica Palace just for the opening night.
An excited popstrel told a press conference: "I can't wait to get down there and do my thing under the ocean, dude. That's gonna be SO totally awesome. I mean, it's the ultimate question for an artist, right? Do fish dig my sound? I mean REALLY?"
The bad news is that tickets for the concert look set to be around the £200 mark. Last one in the water is a rotten egg (with no money)!
