Screen Lavigne
If you've been wondering where Avril Lavigne has got to recently, why not try your local cinema? No, she's not selling popcorn. Av's been brushing up on her acting skills, and has actually nabbed roles in three films.
She told Rolling Stone magazine: "I want to do this for a bit of a change. I'm going to start off small, see how I like it and make sure I'm comfortable."
Her first screen appearance will be in The Flock in which she plays the girlfriend of a man that is wanted for police questioning...by Richard Gere. But be warned, she won't be looking her best: "I have glasses and a chipped tooth in the movie. I had to get a mould of my mouth [made] so that they could fit the tooth."
Nice. And Avril will also be popping up as the voice of a possum in the cartoon Over The Hedge, plus the next film by School Of Rock director Richard Linklater. But don't panic, she is also planning to head back into the studio in the new year.
She must drink HELL of a lot of coffee, that girl...
