Despite his current woes which include being thrown out of his own band and a debilitating drug habit, troubled Libertines singer Pete Doherty is considering an offer to appear in the forthcoming Celebrity Big Brother.
Pete has been offered £100,000 to appear and has been guaranteed the cash even if he has a hissy John Lydon style fit and quits after a day, which could very well happen!
Producers are keen to bag a rock star after the success of the snarling Johnny Lydon on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. Liam Gallagher and Tim Burgess of The Charlatans have already turned offers to appear.
A friend of Pete's told the Sun: "Pete is currently thinking about it. The offer is for £100,000."
We reckon Pete will last until lunchtime on Day One!
