Series 8 - Episode 5
On parallel-universe Top Gear, Jeremy forgot about speed and powwerrr and took a look at the super- smooth Citroen C6, while Captain Slow learnt to drive really quickly.
The Prodive chaps decided to have a go at a road car. Called the P2, it's powered by some of the most sophisticated technology ever put on the road, but weighs about as much as an empty crisp packet. It was so impressive it actually made Clarkson vomit.
When Jeremy got the opportunity to review the Citroen C6 he was thrilled. He was looking forward to the insane way old models have stereos mounted next to the handbrake, gear levers on the dashboard, and indicators where the radio should be. But all of the old fun seems to have gone. It would have been nice if you had to change gear using a lemon attached to a breadstick, just for old time's sake.
Top Gear gets a lot of letters. One caught us by surprise. It was from someone called Jackie Stewart, who claimed he could teach any one of the boys to drive quickly. Frankly, we didn't believe him, so we sent Captain Slow up to prove him wrong. After a day, James managed to get his laptime down by 20 seconds. We might have to think up a new nickname for him.
Sir Michael Gambon is the only star to have a corner on our track named after him. And boy did he deserve it!
