The Show
Series 7 - Episode 6
On and-the-winner-is Top Gear, we raced a dog, announced the winners and losers in our Car of the Year Awards, and comedian David Walliams was bribed to appear on the show.
Top Gear revealed the best and worst cars of the year. The nominations for the 'biggest surprise of the year' included: James running, Jeremy getting a pie in the face, the Nissan Murano which, despite looking terrible, is great, and the Honda Civic, which, for the first time, was cool.
The ugliest car of the year was the BMW 3-series, and the best car: the Bugatti Veyron. Too bad most of us will never get to see one, let alone drive it.
Gas guzzler of the year was the Ford GT, which burns more fossil fuels than most developing countries.
With the coolest car things went slightly wrong. Jeremy refused to accept the Porsche, and Hamster gnawed through the results when Jeremy declared the Aston the winner.
Can a greyhound beat the new Mazda MX5? The dog had a top speed of 45mph and could get there in just six strides. It also had fire in its belly and far better grip on the corners. But, let's face it, you can't ride a greyhound to work in the morning.
