On wet-and-wild Top Gear, the presenters headed for a water-logged Isle of Man for one of their world-class arguments, Richard drove the latest member of the supercar club, and Trevor Eve, star of Waking the Dead, came by for a truly hair-raising lap.

Most billionaires are content just to have a couple of supercars in their garage, but Klaus Zwart decided to build his own. His company is called Ascari, but, in a brilliantly immodest move he named the car after himself, calling it the KZ1. It put in one hell of a lap, beating the likes of the McLaren SLR in the process.

The Aston Martin V8 Vantage versus the BMW M6, versus the Porsche 911 Carrera S. Which would you choose? In terms of putting its power onto the road, the Porsche is superior. The advantage of the BMW is that it can summon 500bhp. The downside is its computer system, which which requires a degree in astro-physics to operate. The Aston, meanwhile, has the looks and the noise, but sadly not the pace.

At the end of two days of arguing, fishing, being rained on, and more arguing, the result was two votes for the Porsche, with Jeremy insisting on the Aston.

Trevor Eve managed to break one of our Lianas, although, to be fair, it wasn't really his fault, the wheel fell off. Despite this, he managed a very good time of 1.48.4.
