Snipers vs Jeremy
Top Gear has always got on well with the British Army. So when it rang up offering access to a spooky fake village that it uses for training we were there like a shot.
With the Army's help we constructed a very scientific test where a bunch of Army snipers attempted to 'kill' Jeremy while he did his best to get away using two of the hottest sports cars of the moment. Suffice to say, in real life he'd probably be killed to death by now.
It was after making this film that Jeremy decided to buy his own Merc SLK 55.
In the edit suite the director spent a long time tweaking the noise of the soldiers' guns to make them sound extra scary.
