Findo Gask make the kind of off-kilter pop perfection you might dream up if you loved the Beach Boys, Cornelius, the Associates, Squarepusher and music from computer games. Gregory (bass) and Gerard (vocals) have been in bands together since they met at school in Kirkcaldy, Fife. All of the band have a degree of classical training - Gregory and Michael (drums) went to Fife Youth Orchestra together - but it wasn't until 2006 that Gavin (keys) joined, bringing with him a wealth of electronic equipment, and everything was turned on its head.

In December 2007, the band released their debut single, Va-Va-Va - hailed by Radio 2's Radcliffe and Maconie as "staggeringly good... just an astonishing record" - on OSCarr, the label run by Glasgow's Sunday night clubbing institution, Optimo. Since then, the perfectionist Glasgow quartet are taking their own time crafting giddy pop epiphanies. They're also part-time remixers, having re-imagined tracks by Long Blondes, Yoko Ono, Psapp and Bloc Party.

Off-kilter pop, twisted pop and perfect pop - Scotland has it all! BBC Introducing in Scotland is the golden chance for all of it to be heard in Scotland. But it should be heard around the rest of Britain.
