Delays

Delays are an English indie band formed in Southampton, consisting of brothers Greg and Aaron Gilbert, Colin Fox and Rowly. Likened to the Cocteau Twins and noted for the lead vocalist's falsetto, they have recorded three albums to date, both receiving warm critical response, and modest chart success.

Seen the boys live a few times this year now and i can't understand why Radio 1 isn't playing them morning, noon and night!!??? Can't believe that someone who is suppose to advocate good new* bands (*new, as in relatively unplayed although i'm sure you lot, like me, have supported the boys for a few years now!) i.e. Jo Whiley, hasn't given them a big plug on Radio 1. Keep going lads, i'm sure one day your superiority will be recognised. I'm sure somebody likes you on BBC1 though as they use a load of your tunes regularly for background music on various programmes including MOTD2! Hope the royalties are coming in if nothing else!!

Delays were great - glad I finally got a chance to see them live. Can't believe there were so few people there - and then so many people straight after who came to see The Ting Tings, who were awful!

I totally agree with the comments below me. Delays are one of the best bands that Britain has ever produced and yet they remain ignored by Radio 1. Their albums are superb and their gigs sublime. This band deserve massive airplay. Sort it out!!

Radio 1 need to sort it out - their last album sold really well considering they didn't have any airplay. Why don't you start giving music fans what they want...instead of playing the same tracks over and over again?PLAYLIST DELAYS!

Seen these guys twice in the last week and they are one of the most undervalued bands around - I agree with Super Duncs, it's criminal that Radio 1 (and others) aren't giving them the airplay they richly deserve!!
