The which has thrilled audiences across the world is coming to Buckinghamshire.

    Karen Shrosbery and Jonathan Wilkes.

Leading the cast in this smash hit musical as Frank ’n’ Furter is Jonathan Wilkes, who has recently wowed audiences in the national tour of Godspell and also popped up to accompany best pal Robbie in Me and My Shadow at his Royal Albert Hall concert last year.

He's now enjoying his role in The Rocky Horror Show and told our reporter Karen Shrosbery all about it.

"It's a good night of fun" he says. "So don't be shy, come and have a dance. This is not a show like Chekhov where you have to sit and listen."

It's not all fun and games though, it's also very hard work as Jonathan reveals:

"It's been absolute mayhem" he says. It's a gruelling show, but there's no other gig in the world like it."

The audience dress up for the show

"Frank 'n' Furter is probably the best part ever written in a musical, it's one of the challenging parts and the big reason that I took it is that I wanted to do that challenge. Every night I go on stage and I don't know what's going to happen."

Jonathan also spoke to Karen about his recent stint on SMTV:

"I had a great time" he says, "but I couldn't do two jobs and I didn't want to be labelled as a children's TV presenter."

After Rocky he has lots more TV work lined up and there is also talk of doing a few movies. But for the time being, he is enjoying himself.

Not too much though! Despite his showbiz friends he has to take care of himself and not be out every night.

"Sometimes you just have to take yourself home and have a cup of tea" he laughs.
