    Cardington Hangers
    The hangers at Cardington.
The hangers at Cardington. Hanger 1 is on the left.

The Cardington airship hangers dominate the north Bedfordshire skyline. Built in the 1920s, they are still in use - one as a fire research centre and the other to develop airships.
