The exhibition
was officially opened by Graham Taylor, who still lives in the area
and is the first ever to have a special website set up to compliment
the show.
Thanks to the
support of fans and the club, the exhibition is the largest exhibition
ever displayed at the museum about Watford FC.
Watford Museum
asked for help in bringing together material for the exhibition
and treasured souvenirs and memories have flooded in.
Highlights include
memorabilia and images from Watford FCs sporting achievements
during these years, like rapid promotion from the lower divisions
to top flight football and the 1984 FA Cup Final.

In addition,
the exhibition looks at the impact Graham Taylors management
had on fans and community, with initiatives like the Family Enclosure.
The exhibition
has proved popular with fans, with favourite items emerging, including
Nigel Gibbs first wage slip and the Watford Observer clock
that was part of the old Rookery Stand.
With the help
of fans a dedicated website has been launched at www.hertsmuseums.org.uk/watford/goalden
Visitors to the site can find out more about the exhibition
and related events.
