Introducing... the bands!

Please state the names of all the band members and the instruments they play…

Flo Kirton- vocals, guitar.
James McBreen- vocals, guitar, 2 synths.
Mitch Rose- Bass.
Elliot Rose- Drums- 5 piece kit.

How would you describe your style of music?

Electro-ey Pop.

What would you say are your musical influences?

We take less influence from music- rather more from personal experience.

How did the band form?

Well, the bassist, Mitch, and drummer, Elliot, are brothers, so that was a good start, and James (lead vocals etc etc) was good friends with Elliot. Then along came Flo, out of no-where in particular.

Of all the songs you have written, what’s your current favourite and why?

We have many favourites, but they tend to be tracks people won't have heard... but they will be on our debut album. (To be released later this year, PLUG, PLUG).

What’s your most memorable gig and why?

Well, we turned up to The Sub in Cleethorpes of all places, and there was no PA, and a pole in the middle of the stage- it was a strip club by the way.. But by the time we found someone in charge, we found out it was sold out!!!... Even though the promotor swore it was because he'd put good posters up, and that attracted all 200 of the people there.

What’s your fan base like?

Teenagers mainly, but i think that's because our only way of getting our music out has been through our myspace, and it tends to be a younger crowd that use it. The more mature age groups that have hear our music though, occasionally become just as supportive as the main bulk of the fan base.

What’s the weirdest thing a fan has ever done / sent to you?

A kid from newcastle got a tattoo of one of our illustrations on his leg, and a great fan of ours got a tattoo of some of our lyrics... overly flattering.. and then some great fans re-wrote the ten commandments but in accordance to our lyrics- madness!!

Name one unusual fact about each of you?

Mitch finds any reflective surface to check himself out in, at any time. Elliot's secretly a really good singer, but only in swedish. James collects Kenyan broaches. Flo has an allergy to anything purple.

If you could record a collaboration with ANYONE - who would it be and why?

The busker on the underground we saw the other day, that plays saxophone to snoop dog songs.

What’s the band’s ultimate ambition or what’s your dream?

The cliches. Sell records, play gigs, make a living outta this!
