Introducing... David Lloyd

Introducing... David Lloyd

Many a lad learns to play guitar but only few can actually sing – and boy can this lad sing...

Please state the names of all the band members and the instruments they play?

David Lloyd, Acoustic Guitar and Vocals

How would you describe your style of music?

Acoustic, Indie. Not a bif fan of saying what it is though. people make their own mind up.

What would you say are your musical influences?

The levellers were the first thing that got me into playing, then anything from The Beatles, Paul Weller, The Kinks, James Morrison, Paolo Nutini, Jack Penate. I like the libertines, Razorlight, Little Man Tate.

How did the band form?

It's just me

Of all the songs you have written, what’s your current favourite and why?

My favourite is probably a song called I ain't no dancer, it really seems to get a good response and I like what it's about.

What’s your most memorable gig and why?

Would have to be The Brakin Arts Festival at The Hat Factory when Mark Chadwick from the Levellers showed up after I had finished my set. he was very complementary.

What’s your fan base like?

Hate the Fan word but..... Mates, family and more recently students who I teach. Myspace has been good though as i have got some real nice comments from people I don't know.

What group of people would you say you appealed to most?

Don't know.

What’s the weirdest thing a fan has ever done / sent to you?

Let's avoid the fan thing.

Name one unusual fact about each of you?

Hmmmm unusual fact...

If you could record a collaboration with ANYONE - who would it be and why?

Would love to sing with someone like Paul Weller or maybe someone like Adele or Amy McDonald.

What’s your dream?

I would really love to sell albums, play festivals, just get heard by more people really. Then I would love to be on that celebrity the match so I get to live out my boyhood dream to play football.

Is there anything else you’d like to tell us?

Er no.
