Peter Buckley Hill is a musical comedy act and circuit legend where some of his songs have become cult icons. He is also a veteran of 13 Edinburgh Fringes, were he has written and performed one-man shows, and is the inventor of the Free Fringe, which makes the Edinburgh Fringe more accessible and less expensive for both performers and audiences. In 2005 at the age of 57, he did 61 appearances at the 2005 Fringe including 37 of his own shows!

He headlines smaller clubs regularly and does one-man shows, mostly song-based, such as "My Old Man's a Dustman- a Deconstruction" and "Stand-Up Tragedy and Other Disasters", both of which have been shown in Edinburgh and London. As far as Beds, Herts and Bucks are concerned, he was once top of the BBC Three Counties Radio folk chart and he says his partner works in Milton Keynes, he has had a drink in Bedford once and his car broke down in Stevenage!! But when it comes down to it - he can't describe his act! "I would try and avoid doing so whenever possible" he says! | "Someone somewhere will benefit - and you might enjoy it!" | | Peter Buckley Hill |
"I am on the wrong side to make that judgement! Basically I stand up there, I strum a little bit, I talk a little bit and the audience reacts in some sort of way! "I have been described as the son of Magnus Pyke and Spike Milligan but this is a defamation upon both these two excellent and rather dead people!" Peter is clear on why you should buy a ticket to The Big One. "Someone somewhere will benefit - and you might enjoy it" he says! "It's going to be a good evening with lots of different stuff on. "And if you like me that's fine and if not there's lots of other stuff. We comedians are mere buses." |
