    St Albans Gang Show 2007

Meet the Gang - Part Three

With less than two weeks to go now until the show, read Katie Lake's latest back stage diary!

    Gang Show Rehearsal

    Monday 29 January 2007

With less than two weeks to go until the curtain lifts on St Albans Gang Show 2007, everyone is working hard to ensure that this year’s show maintains its high reputation.

Having had our first rehearsal at the Alban Arena a few days ago, it makes everyone realise how close show week really is. All the hard work from the past 3-4 months is pulled together by everyone who is involved with the show, on stage, and behind the scenes.

Rehearsing for the first time on stage, excitement and nerves begin to set in, as well as realising that you really should know your words by now! Days are tiring at the Arena with the constant heat and bright lights and few breaks due to every minute of time being taken to rehearse separate parts of the show.

Arriving at the Arena allows you to meet many new people who are helping to put the show on. Every part of it including sets, lighting, sound and music are coming together to perform the show in February.

In theory, we should have learnt all of our words by the time we begin rehearsing at the Arena, but it was obvious on Sunday that we all may need to look over our words before the next rehearsal!

With a fantastic performance from Harpenden Gang Show earlier in the year, there is a lot to look forward to in the run up to show week.
