I sit here on a Friday morning, unusually tired considering I woke up at midday. But with two performances of Gang Show under my belt, I feel I am justified to be like this!
 | | Our Gang Show Diarist - Flis! |
The first performance went well on Wednesday, although the audience weren't the loudest we've had, and some areas that were a bit flat. But nevertheless we've only heard good things about it! Thursday night was where it really kicked off. There was much more of a buzz and the items seemed to go down a storm with the audience. We had the Mayor of St Albans, our local MP, as well as the county commissioners for Scouts and Guides watching (and my mum!!) so the pressure was really on to perform. I think we showed them just what Gang Show is all about! The interval at tonight's performance (Friday) will mark the half-way stage in Gang Show week, and the whole thing seems to be whizzing by! But once show week is over, there's still plenty left for us to enjoy! After the Saturday night show, the older cast members stay at the Arena to help clear up and ship out all the costumes, sets etc, followed by the legendary after-show party! The following week we have a disco for all cast members to celebrate our success and have a bit of a boogie! But it doesn't finish there! In April, we are going on Gang Show camp! This is a chance to meet up again and have a fun weekend! This year we have been invited to perform to world scout leaders at Baden Powell House in London. This is an opportunity not to be missed, and is the perfect way to round off Gang Show 2006.

But barely has the dust settled on this year's show, that the preparations for Gang Show 2007 begin! In June, the older cast members and the production team have a brainstorming weekend to generate ideas for the next show! No one really, therefore, has a chance to miss Gang Show too much, before it all comes round again! So all that's left to say is good luck to everyone for the rest of the week, and if you're coming to watch the show, "be prepared" to be blown away! Come back and read our review of the show soon! |
