Celeb Big Brother is back - and this time it's bigger!

The third run of reality show Celebrity Big Brother will hit our screens in January - and the Herts-based programme is promising to be bigger than before!

It took 10 weeks to build the Big Brother house

94 people worked on construction

The main living area is 154 square metres in size

185 litres of paint were used to decorate the house

361 tiles were used in the bathroom

There are 53 mirrors and 197 lights

In total there are 36 cameras used to film the action

Elstree will be the centre of attention once more as Celebrity Big Brother hits the screens to dispel the post-Christmas blues on Thursday January 6 - and this time it will be even bigger than ever before.

A record eight celebrity housemates will move into the Big Brother house where viewers will be able to watch them for an extended two week run.

Following the Asian Earthquake disaster, for every one million votes cast in Celebrity Big Brother 2005, £90,000 will go to the tsunami appeal in addition to the money already being raised for the housemates' charities.

But just exactly who will be putting their lives into Big Brother's hands will remain a secret until they move into the house - and the housemates will have no idea who they're moving in with either!

All will be shut away from the world with no news, no mobiles - and no agents!

The celebrities will live in the same Big Brother house that was used on Big Brother 5 last summer. It was created by Production Designer Markus Blee and Art Directors James Zafir and Paul Drake - and has been redesigned for Celebrity Big Brother by Patrick Watson.

The Celebrity Big Brother house is smaller than in previous series, making it claustrophobic and intense. Inward slanting walls, low ceilings, hard seats and angular surfaces make the house an unsettling place to live in.

I'm going to miss it! (again!) I'm in Australia and here on a Working Holiday! I missed the entire series that was on in the Summer and now Celeb Big Bro!

this is an excellent idea, having the area smaller will definately cause intense atmosphere! There could be sparks flying alright!! My advice to the new contestants would be, practise breathing excersises, a must and most important thing to take in with you!!!!!!!!!! You know it makes sense. I should know, I've lived in a tiny house with a family of six for the past 8 years, even with a mobile and news and freedom, it's still intense, which is why I took up breathing excersies!! Is there any chance they could do some Tai Chi? Or have oil burners, incense sticks? You may think I'm daft, but i'd love to see the effects it does have on peeps!!

Fed up with the whole thing. There are too many reality progs on TV now and the novelty of seeing Z-list celebs "being normal" has long since worn off. TV schedules make depressing reading these days! How about more innovative, creative shows instead of cheap, tacky tat?
