Judy Spelman's had a chequered life. Although blessed with ten children, her own parents neglected her and she was put into care when she was just three years old.

In the fifteen years that followed social services moved her from foster parents to care homes a total of eighteen times.

Now at the age of fifty and living in a council house in St Albans, Judy tells her story of growing up in care.
