  • Scissors, tape measure, tailors chalk, ruler, pins, ordinary and elastic thread, a selection of ribbons and lace, bits of jewellery
  • Cutting off arms, neck and shoulder seams from T-shirt
  • Max measuring up the top
  • Stitching a strip of lace along top and bottom of 'tube'
  • Sewing four straight lines around the top of the T-shirt
  • Cutting a strip from the left-over sleeve material
  • Stitching the two strips together
  • Stitching a strip of lace along the strap
  • Stitching the shoulder strap onto one side of the top
  • A fabulous blinged-up corsage
  • Max wearing the finished top
