From bug hunting to mud pie making, hold a scary beast or track a wild animal. Grab your scrapbook and start ticking off your adventures.

Please dress for the weather, even on summer days it can get chilly on the coast. Please wear old clothes and shoes you don't mind getting muddy. Bring a towel and spare change of clothes.

Meet down at Brancaster Staithe Harbour (PE31 8BW). Look out for our flags and NT staff.

Sessions last two and a half hours and start at 10:00 or 14:00. Please check venue website to clarify start time.

Extensive coastal area around the fishing village of Brancaster Staithe, famous for wild birds.

As well as the site of Show more… the Roman fort of Branodunum and Scolt Head Island (to which there is a private ferry service), there are tidal mud and sandflats and saltmarshes to explore. For those who prefer a more structured visit, there is the well-resourced Brancaster Millennium Activity Centre, which offers residential and day courses for families, adults and school groups. The centre also delivers its innovative Energy Busters Outreach Programme, exploring ways to reduce carbon footprints with schools and colleges in Norfolk.Show less…
