You will be taken out on the water with one of our RYA approved sailing instructors to experience the thrill of wind powered water sports at our beautiful location.

Depending on conditions and ability, you will help the instructor sail the dinghy by crewing for him/her and should the instructor deem it suitable, you will also get the chance to take the helm and steer the craft around the 230 acre reservoir.

Cost

There will be no charge for our taster sessions.

Special requirements

You will be provided with a buoyancy aid and a helmet if required. If you don't own a wetsuit or drysuit we recommend you wear loose fitting clothing and trainers which you won't mind getting wet (this is a water sport after all!).

We have changing rooms with hot showers so we also recommend you bring a towel, wash kit, and a change of clothes in case your sailing clothes get wet.

Accreditation

Burton Sailing Club is an RYA (Royal Yachting Association) approved training centre.
