Learn to Play Ice Hockey

Absolutely Ice, Slough

Run by: Slough Junior Jets Ice Hockey Club

Our six week programme is aimed at teaching the fundamentals of ice hockey to children aged 4 to 14 and is a great starting experience for boys and girls in this exciting sport.

Cost

The Learn to Play course lasts six weeks and costs £50.00. This also includes one free public skate admission (skate hire not included) and also a ticket to a Slough Jets NIHL2 game.

  2. Beginner
  3. Intermediate
  4. Advanced

Special requirements

All participants must be able to skate at a reasonable level (balance on ice, forward/backward movement, beginning crossovers). Participants will also require some protective equipment for the head, elbow, hands and legs. They will also need skates and a stick. We do have a small supply of these items, but they are on a first come, first served basis.

Accreditation

The session is run by the Slough Junior Jets Head Coach. All of the coaches on the ice are English Ice Hockey Association (EIHA) qualified and registered up to Level 3 and have current DBS.
