The day begins with some circus skills followed by races from 50m to 1km long. After their race each child receives a sticker and any child with eight stickers gets a special Kids Run Free T-shirt!

Our mission is to get young people passionate about exercise. As a result of our involvement with athletics, we decided to create an exercise programme for children by setting up races that are available to all school and pre-school age groups. These take place at parks in the Midlands on the first Saturday of each month. Please register in advance on the website. Results are published on the website a few days after the races. Race distances: Under 2 years: 50m 3 to 4 years: 100m 5 to 6 years: 300m 7 to 8: 400m 9 to 10: 500m 7 to 16: 1km club
