This event is an exciting introduction to orienteering, with several courses suitable for newcomers, families, children and improvers of all ages and abilities. Come and give orienteering a go!
10:00–12:00
Suitable for any age

There will be several courses to choose from, including short easy courses for newcomers. Once you have registered, you will be given a special map showing your course and the object is to navigate your way round the control points on the map, in the correct order and registering each one with a small electronic timing device we will lend you. The easy courses will follow paths and the controls will be easy to spot, however if you choose a more difficult course then your navigation and route choice skills between the controls will be tested! You can start at any time between 10.30am and 12pm.
Please see our detailed event flyer on our website or Facebook page for more info: www.tvoc.org.uk or www.facebook.com/tvoclub

Wear outdoor clothes - trainers are ideal if the weather is nice or you fancy a jog. Walking shoes are fine too, if you are planning on walking around a course, to fine tune your navigation skills! A compass will also be useful. Just don't forget your sense of adventure!
